D-Limonene Cleaner
D-Limonene is a highly effective natural solvent made from the essential oils of citrus peels. It is widely used in both industry and everyday life due to its ability to dissolve complex contaminants. Because D-Limonene dissolves fats, it serves as an alternative to solvents such as alcohol and acetone.
Areas of Application for D-Limonene Cleaner
D-Limonene is one of the best agents for cleaning adhesives (glues).
1. Removal traces of glue and self-adhesive labels. D-Limonene excellently dissolves residues of scotch tape, stickers, price tags, masking tape, and most types of glue.
2. Industrial cleaning. It is used for degreasing metal parts before painting or bonding. It washes away lubricants, resins, bitumen, and wax.
3. 3D Printing. It is used to dissolve supports printed with HIPS plastic (high-impact polystyrene) without damaging the main part made of ABS plastic.
4. Household and Auto Chemicals. It is included in the composition of many detergents for floors, glass, and sanitary ware, as well as dishwashing liquids, often acting as a fragrance and fat solvent.

• Naturalness: Being a product of plant origin, it is less toxic than acetone, toluene, or white spirit.
• Scent: It has a distinct, pleasant plant scent rather than a harsh chemical odor.

Warnings – Important!
Despite its natural origin, D-Limonene is a strong chemical substance.
1. Impact on Plastic. D-Limonene melts polystyrene and can damage other types of plastic and rubber. Before using on plastic surfaces, be sure to conduct a test on an inconspicuous area.
2. Flammability. It is a flammable liquid. It flashes at temperatures from 50 °C, and spontaneous combustion is possible at 200 °C; the cleaner must not be used on hot surfaces. Keep away from fire and sparks.
3. Irritation. It causes irritation upon contact with skin and mucous membranes in its pure form, so personal protective equipment must be used when working with it. The product must be stored out of the reach of children.
4. Oily Film. After drying, it may leave a light oily film which needs to be washed off with soap and water or alcohol (if the surface is being prepared for bonding).
How to Use D-Limonene for Removing Glue Stains and Self-Adhesive Labels
Apply a small amount of liquid to the glue residue or label.
Wait 1–5 minutes (depending on the thickness of the glue layer) for the agent to take effect, then wipe with a napkin or scrape off residues with a plastic spatula.
Rinse the surface with water or wipe with alcohol to remove oiliness.
