LUX-M Impregnation
Areas of Application
LUX-M impregnations are used in the manufacturing of:
• Non-woven materials;
• Technical fabrics;
• Fiberglass meshes and fiberglass fabrics;
• Carpet products;
• Tapes, webbing, and slings;
• Artificial fur;
• Fixation of abrasive particles in grinding materials.
Advantages of LUX-M Impregnation
1. Adjustable Stiffness: Allows for achieving a variable “handle” (tactile feel) — from soft-elastic to “cardboard-like” — depending on the concentration.
2. High Adhesion: Excellent bonding with both natural and synthetic fibers.
3. Durability: Forms a transparent, elastic film resistant to mechanical stress and washing. It does not yellow during thermal fixation.
4. Processability: Does not stick to padding rollers or drying drums; does not foam at high speeds.
5. Eco-friendliness: Products manufactured by LUX-X are completely environmentally friendly and do not emit harmful substances into the environment.

Properties
LUX-X impregnations are used as a binder and to impart additional properties to the material. This effect is achieved by impregnating or coating the fabric or non-woven materials on one side.
After treatment, materials acquire the following qualities:
• Structural stability;
• Crease resistance;
• Tensile and abrasion strength;
• Antistatic properties;
• Improved appearance of the fabric.
Custom formulations with water-repellent, fire-retardant, and other specific properties are available upon request.
Application and Usage Guidelines
1. Spreading / Coating Method
To apply LUX-M impregnation to artificial knitted fur or fabric using the spreading method, a paste must be prepared consisting of the impregnation and a thickener.
• We recommend using high-viscosity solutions of CMC (Carboxymethyl cellulose) or other cellulose ethers as a thickener.
• The prepared CMC solution is mixed with the impregnation for 15-20 minutes at a ratio of 3:1 to 4:1 (20-25% impregnation), depending on the type of material.
2. Foam Technology
For application using foam technology, dilute the impregnation with water at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:2, mix for 5-10 minutes, and feed it into the foam generator.
3. Padding (Roller) / Dipping Method
Prepare a 10-60% aqueous solution by mixing, or use the impregnation in its pure form.
• Customization: We can manufacture a product with the specific viscosity and thixotropy indicators required for your specific production equipment and application unit.
• Curing: Polymerization and drying occur at a temperature of 110-140°C for 1-2 minutes.
• Speed: Recommended line speed is from 6 to 30 m/min.
Note: These recommendations are general and should be adjusted by the user depending on technological modes (line speed, roller position, doctor blade angle, drying temperatures, etc.).
